The NBL's decision today to turn its annual All-NBL Teams into "positionless" is a typically ill-conceived retrograde step for the game, reinforcing league boffins do not care about the fact basketball is a team sport and will bow to whatever is populist at the time.

MELBOURNE Boomers and Southside Flyers got out of jail scot free and Bendigo Spirit, even under duress, won its first game of the WNBL season. Frankly, those results only made coming up with this week's WNBL Team of the Week for Round 4 more difficult than usual.
