Andrew Gaze speaks out on topics that may surprise

THE great man, Andrew Gaze, joins Joseph Corr on his increasingly popular NBL Pocket Podcast and talks about so many topics that will surprise you that it is absolutely compelling listening!

This is one of my favourite pods and not just because our seven-time NBL MVP, NBA champion and Sydney Olympics' Australian team flag-bearer gives me a good wrap among the many subjects and topics addressed.

Almost floored by the opening question, we find out who Drewey's comedy influences may be - Jimeoin? - and his opinion on such a wide range of subjects, basketball very much included, of course.

But there's content here about comedy influences, musical inspirations, Shane Heal, books, including the one about Andrew and the new one by Grantley Bernard on Lindsay Gaze, nicknames, the 'Killer Instinct', Jonah Bolden, the Gaze idol of the 90s, Bryce Cotton, Michael Jordan, bobbleheads, retirement 15 years ago, coaching Andrew Bogut at the Kings and with Bogut's retirement what does the NBL do now?

Find it all here at this link, along with a great deal more.

If you're interested in my basketball book about the life and career of Adelaide 36ers icon Brett Maher - "MAHERVELLOUS! THE BRETT MAHER STORY" - you can pick up a copy signed by the triple-Olympian by going to this link.

Yes, it is the perfect gift for Christmas for any 36ers or NBL fan who wantrs to revisit the league's history in the glorious 90s.

But give this podcast a listen. You will not be disappointed.
