Anything you can do...

ANYTHING you can do, I can do better. If that's not LeBron James' current mantra, it sure ought to be.

He levelled the Eastern Conference semi final between Cleveland and Chicago at 2-2 today with a buzzer-beater off an inbounds pass by Matthew Dellavedova, effectively erasing the match-winning bank-shot siren beater by the Bulls' Derrick Rose in Game 3.

Sandwich in Paul Pierce's buzzer-beater for Washington yesterday against Atlanta and its has been a thrilling few days in the NBA playoffs.

Well, except if you're a Houston Rockets fan. First came a 124-99 Game 3 rout by the Clippers in LA and today it was another sound 128-95 humiliation.

Heading back to Houston, the Clippers have a 3-1 lead and are one win away from their historic first appearance in a Western Conference Final series.

Top-seeded Golden State will be under pressure to tie their series, trailing the Grizzlies 1-2 with Game 4 tomorrow in Memphis.

Since winning Game 1 at home, the Warriors have looked a shadow of themselves, unsuccessfully negotiating the distractions of Stephen Curry winning MVP honours.

Memphis' 99-89 Game 3 win was better than the scoreline, Golden State being contained from playing their fast-paced, free-flowing game.

The Clippers will take some stopping from filling one of the West's Finals berths, Houston's James Harden revisiting the form he showed for OKC in their Finals series a couple of years back and Dwight Howard failing to shake his reputation for less-then-brilliant decision-making.

But the talk today was of that shot by LeBron, who dismissed the play drawn up by Cavs coach David Blatt, instead demanding the ball.

"I just told Delly to give me the ball, I'm gonna get open, gimme the ball and I'm gonna win the game for us," James said post-game.

Scores tied 84-84, Dellavedova's inbounds pass went straight to James in the corner, and as he said he would, The King swished the winning basket as the siren was ringing.

"The man above granted me one," James said.

Obviously not a Bulls supporter then...
