Brad&Boti: Key WNBL moves and another Bryce bonanza

PLAYERS, coaches on the move - the WNBL has had a big week and over in the NBL, that man Bryce Cotton has just kept on keeping on, delighting Brad&Boti podcast colleague Brad Rosen and Perth Wildcats fans. There is much on which to pontificate with all these comings and goings.

And by now you know, when it comes to pontificating, few do it with greater commitment than Brad and I!

The big news in the WNBL was Townsville Fire cutting loose import Zia Cooke and hot young superstar Alex Sharp returning from Europe to take up a playing role at Geelong United.

The big tip was Sharpy would replace Cooke at the Fire but she instead has re-United with coach Chris Lucas at Geelong.

Sacked by his beloved Adelaide 36ers, Scott Ninnis returns to the coach's seat with Adelaide Lightning, hoping to rebuild the storied franchise and keep its future alive.

Meanwhile in the NBL, defending champion Tasmania JackJumpers released Craig Sword to take on 201cm import Ian Hummer, a 34-year-old veteran who raises their chances of a top four finish.

Brad believes Hummer was an important call by the Jackies and puts them back into contention. (Of course, we did record before we knew Will Magnay would be out for 6-8 weeks with a toe injury.)

Kendric Davis has been killing but was his form good enough to get our Player of the Week over the scoring machine who is Bryce Cotton?

Did we agree on our WNBL Player of the Week? And not only did we name our tips for the league's respective MVPs, we learnt from Brad exactly how to pronounce the shortened version of his favourite coach's name, "Goorjshzzz".

A Rosen Rattler, a Nagy Nasty, tips for this week's rounds ... There's all this and more and you can access it by just hitting this LINK. Or, if you prefer, you have your usual podcast options to visit.

No bias here but here's a look (again) at Monique Conti's match-winning jumpshot for Geelong over Southside. We'll be back after Christmas so thank you to our listeners for keeping us going. Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
