LEGENDARY coach, former import, NBL Championship winner and fulltime basketball lover Bruce Palmer will coach in Brisbane ... and for free!

Next Sunday Palmer, who took North Melbourne Giants to their first NBL title in 1989 and also held the reins of the Bullets, will run a free clinic in Brisbane for Southern Districts.

Palmer, a former head coach of the Spartans now among a legion of longtime NBL identities working in China, will run a session at Rowland Cowan Basketball Stadium from 10am until 12noon next Sunday (August 10).

The session will include drills, demonstrations and explanations on help defence and defending cutters (pistol stance).

Even though this is a Spartans event, all coaches are welcome, regardless of their club, association or affiliation.
