Chance to catch Delly, Patty

THE Boomers are back in Melbourne and fans of our NBA stars can catch up with some of them tomorrow and Friday at various locations.

Our newest NBA champion, Cleveland Cavaliers guard Matthew Dellavedova, will be making an in-store appearance tomorrow at Kickz101 Melbourne in Collins Street.

Delly, who has signed an exclusive three-year global footwear deal with PEAK, will pose for photographs with fans and sign merchandise from 9.45am-10am.

Our 2014 NBA champion, San Antonio Spurs playmaker Patty Mills, on Friday from 1.30pm-2.30pm will be at Emporium Melbourne on the Ground Level, near Nespresso.

Patty and Delly both are from the AIS production line and continued on to play college basketball in California at St Mary’s before ever cracking the pros.

Of course, you can catch them both, together with Joe Ingles and Co playing for the Boomers against the Pac-12 College All Stars on July 12 and 14 at Melbourne’s Hisense Arena.

“The Boomers Farewell Series backs up a training camp in Melbourne and is an essential part of the team’s preparation for the 2016 Rio Olympic Games,” Basketball Australia CEO Anthony Moore said.

“I know the team is excited to get back to Melbourne to complete its preparations and for the basketball fans of Australia, it provides the rare opportunity to watch first-class basketball featuring the best Australian and college basketball talent.”

In truth though, our Aussie elite against the best kids in the Pac-12 Conference does threaten to be more a blow-out than full blown prep.
