Curry flurry a quarter and a half

STEPHEN Curry turned in a third quarter for the ages, with 15 consecutive points as Golden State levelled the NBA’s Western Conference Final with OKC at 1-1.

The MVP scored 28 points, with 5-of-8 3-pointers and at 9-of-15 overall to lead Golden State to a 118-91 rout at Oracle Arena.

That was despite diving for a loose ball into the stands during the first quarter and injuring his elbow.

“Splash Brother” Klay Thompson added 15 points as the defending champs bounced back from just their third home loss all season in the series-opener.

“We responded all year long whether it was a bad loss or a sloppy win,” Thompson said.

“We come back sharp the next game and it’s a testament to everybody on this team.”

Thunder superstar Kevin Durant scored 29 points but had just six after halftime while “partner in crime” Russell Westbrook had 16 points and 12 assists.

Durant was the catalyst for Curry’s third quarter flurry when he fouled him on a 3-point attempt with 6:33 to go in the period.

Hit with a technical foul when he showed his contempt for the call, it led to a costly four-point play for Curry.

Durant delivered a fadeaway jumper moments later but Curry answered by burying consecutive long shots, one a triple, to make it 76-59 with 5:47 to go in the third.

By the last break, the Warriors were ahead 88-68 and 12 minutes away from tying the series.
