Duo hits its PEAK


PEAK Sport Australia has signed MAC Adelaide Lightning captain Abby Bishop and Brisbane Bullets forward Mitch Young to its PEAK Athlete Program.

PEAK has supported basketball in Australia for more than 11 years, and now is excited to announce Bishop and Young join Perth Wildcats captain Damian Martin, Bendigo Spirit's naturalised star Kelsey Griffin, Jannik Blair, Jontee Brown, Bree Mellberg and Amber Merritt.

“PEAK has been supporting Australian basketball for more than 11 years. Whether it be at the grassroots level through the Aussie Hoops program, or outfitting our national teams, we will  continue to support basketball in Australia,” Greg Bickley, general manager of PEAK Sport Australia said.

A long-time supporter of PEAK, Young is excited to join the PEAK Athlete Program.

“I’m proud to be a part of the PEAK Sport family. They do a lot for Australian basketball and I’m excited to work alongside them,” he said.

The WNBL's 2015 MVP, an Australian Opal and Olympian, Bishop also was thrilled to be joining the PEAK Sport family.

“PEAK has been a big part of Australian basketball for over a decade. I was thrilled to be asked to be a part of the PEAK Athlete Program and look forward to developing this relationship,” she said.

Bishop and Young are the two latest additions to the PEAK Athlete Program which is looking to further expand.
