Hate to say 'told ya so'....
TweetIT'S become as easy as the middle of the alphabet - L-M-N - for Sydney with the Kings today confirming the signature of Aleks Maric for his long-awaited NBL debut.
Lisch-Maric-Newley is the NBL's new "big three", topping Illawarra Hawks' top trio of 2015-16, namely Penney-Lisch-Ogilvy.
And make no mistake, Jeff Van Groningen is building a team to contend right now, not working on some three-year plan. Lisch is 30, Maric 31 and Newley 31.
It's going to be a very interesting team, to be sure but don't expect it to be running the Shuffle offence, just because Andrew Gaze is in the coaching seat.
While Sydney has so much talent an "equal opportunity" offence would make some sense, pairing the 211cm Maric and Julian Khazzouh's 209cm opens a whole bunch of different options.

Lisch and Jason Cadee can handle the ball and there's still Tommy Garlepp and Jeromie Hill in that frontcourt.
And that's BEFORE Sydney even signs an import.
Or two.
