Headband or crown for imperial King James?

IT'S amazing what a headband can do!

LeBron James found his after two months without it, put it on and, as if it was some imaginary crown returning him to his King James persona, he reigned supreme today over the Chicago Bulls.

Cleveland’s mercurial leader led from the front in the 106-91 victory which tied the Eastern Conference semi final at 1-1.

James finished with 33 points, eight rebounds, five assists, the Cavs not looking as though two starters - Kevin Love (shoulder, done for season) and JR Smith (suspension) - were not suiting.

Kyrie Irving supported the King with 21 points and Matthew Dellavedova led the Cavs in minutes (35:52) and assists with nine, hitting nine points.

“It was in my locker and I decided to give it a go,” James said of his forlorn headband.

“It was time for it to make a comeback.”

James did too, after a quiet performance in the Game 1 loss. Cleveland never led in that loss, and never trailed in today's win.

Jimmy Butler scored 18 and Derrick Rose had 14 points and 10 assists for the Bulls, who host Game 3 on Saturday.

All four semi final series stand at 1-1 after Houston hit 42-of-64 free throws en route to beating the Los Angeles Clippers 115-109.

Chris Paul (hamstring) again missed the game for the Clips but Blake Griffin was huge for 34 points, though only eight came after the main break.

Houston's James Harden had 16 of his 32 points in the fourth quarter, Dwight Howard with 24 points and 16 rebounds but 8-of-21 from the stripe.
