Tai Wesley was the star of the show with 28 points before controversially fouling out on what most believed was only his fourth foul.
Kyle Adnam added 25 points as United powered home strongly in Nanjing after trailing 54-56 at the last break.
Craig Moller and development player Sam Short made their Melbourne debuts in the opener of this two-game friendly.
