Time Out-NO FLOP ZONE: No Brain at John Cain II

YES, Joey Wright and I have our views of what occurred in the NBL during and after the Melbourne-Adelaide melee and the fan fervour, and we don't really care if you're a United or 36ers fan when we address it at our Time Out-NO FLOP ZONE podcast.

Naturally, we don't see the incident(s) exactly eye-to-eye but we do wholeheartedly agree it once again highlights the potential pitfalls of a league and club owner being one and the same.

And it also brings to light the subjective narrative perpetuated across NBL media portraying the 36ers as the villains of the piece with outlandish claims of what occurred and projecting the possibility of 10-match bans etcetera.

Preparing the waters much?

Extraordinary how the commentary around racial vilification from the now-banned United fans was quickly quietened and how Melbourne United, as a club, escaped any kind of penalty or admonishment for its lack of security and protection of the players who are, after all, the league's greatest assets.

It is just amazing how ALL the narrative shifted from the on-court incident to what penalties Montrezl Harrell and Kendric Davis should receive.

There is a lot to unpack which so far has been shunted into an overnight bag and masking-taped over, the 36ers also going noticeably quiet rather than appealing the decision of the Single Member Tribunal.

After all, Harrell was mic'ed for the game so surely there was audio evidence which could have been made public? One way or another, it had to be revealing.

In the NBA this week, did Josh Giddey square up with Dyson Daniels in their return bout?
