THE late Brad Rosen - and I always thought using "late" as an adjective meant you were dead but, eh - and I have come up with a very late (for Round 13 of WNBL and 17 of NBL) Brad&Boti podcast featuring all the regular mumbo-jumbo and even some new stuff, although we do discover as a basketball dinosaur, I am not alone.

We had a lot to unpack from both our premier national leagues, the women with some amazing results including another case of the (then) last-placed team, namely Adelaide, beating the first-placed Townsville in the Fire's house!

We haven't seen that since Adelaide was on the last rung of the NBL ladder and beat Melbourne, which was on the top! Maybe it's just an Adelaide thang!

What about Illawarra? Did they just blow two very winnable home games, first with Lat Mayen's late match-winner for Cairns, then the 36ers having Trey Kell and Isaac Humphries ruffle a few Hawks' feathers?

Truly, that round may come back to sting yet, especially with Perth and New Zealand on the schedule this round.

Southside reasserted itself in the WNBL by belting Bendigo and manouvering Melbourne but now runs into the Flames who are very much in the thick of the positional battle in the Final Four.

While Perth's Wildcats have been getting the job done, the Lynx are in a four-game losing slump and have Southside next on the schedule.

But it will be the Flyers' third match of the round, which definitely works in Perth's favour.

Can depleted South East Melbourne show us some heart against suspect Sydney and powerhouse Perth? Or can we expect more of the same piffle?

Where is Brisbane at, really, after being so comprehensively humbled by Perth last week and can they find their game this round for Melbourne? United regain Shea Ili and Jo Lual-Acuil too.
