Brad&Boti: Kings in crisis, Flames heating up

SYDNEY-sider Brad Rosen - and I don't use that adjective lightly or one-dimensionally - yet again has failed miserably to land us a guest for the Brad&Boti podcast so once more you'll just sadly have to make do with us revisiting both the WNBL and NBL for super-duper expert analysis.

(And yeah, next week I'll take care of securing us an interview candidate, Bradley these days seemingly preoccupied with his burgeoning bromance with fellow TV analyst Derek Rucker.)

Eventually I am able to steer Brad away from his Sydney obsession - do we have any listeners in Darwin? - with his recovering Flames and faltering Kings. Brad was in a zone. Pity Sydney also was against SEM.

We open with the WNBL and how three games went down to single baskets and even included overtime, while the other three fixtures were decided by a cumulative 85 points!

This week's round is huge again but with playoff implications as Perth-Sydney and Southside-Townsville are meeting for the second time so 2-0 season-series leads are at stake for both of the home teams.

How good was Sydney guard Lauren Nicholson in the Flames twin wins, or Aari McDonald in leading Perth to victory in Adelaide?

Let's jump to the NBL where we look at a couple of our "Fraud Squad" teams to assess whether they really are in the running.

And how well is Melbourne United championship-winner Chris Goulding playing?

There was a lot to like about NBL Round 10, and AJ Johnson's wicked dunk for Illawarra over Perth was right up there. The Next Star almost launched into the stars!

Brad's "Rosen Rattler" is a positive one about the rise of the Phoenix and my Nagy Nasty settles on the absurdity in 2023 of claiming to be the world's No.2 league but unable to cover the absence of a shot-clock without resorting to the honesty system.

Seriously?

There's all this and more just a click away if you hit this link. Or you can take a longer route and find us via Apple Podcasts.

That's your call. We hope you enjoy ours.
