By the Grace of Ricky, don't miss this!

WHEN anyone talks about THE Perth Wildcat, only two players come to mind - Andrew Vlahov or Ricky Grace. The good news for burgeoning Adelaide basketball players is that on Anzac Day next week, one of them - the Amazing Grace - will run a two-hour pop-up clinic for Joey Wright's Transition Sports.

American-born Grace was the playmaking point guard on Perth's first NBL champion in 1990 and backed that up with a further championship in 1991.

In 1993 when the Wildcats lost the Grand Final to Melbourne Tigers, Grace became one of the very rare players from a losing club to win the championship series MVP award, the soon-to-be "Larry Sengstock Medal". (It was his second Grand Final MVP award, his first in 1990.)

That same year (1993), Grace made a handful of NBA appearances with Atlanta Hawks before taking out Australian citizenship in 1994. (To say it took him a lot less time to get it than Bryce Cotton would be a massive understatement.)

Grace again led the Wildcats to NBL championships in 1995 and 2000 and ended his career as a four-time champ, four-time NBL First Team selection, and an Australian Olympian with the Boomers at the 2000 Sydney Games.

His No.15 has been retired by the Wildcats and he was inducted into the Australian Basketball Hall of Fame in 2010.

Any conversation about the NBL's greatest imports or point guards should include his name amid the first three mentioned.

Grace will run his pop-up clinic for Transition Sports on Tuesday, April 25 from 1-3pm, a session that represents a great opportunity for players to hone and improve their skills under a true master.

“I had the opportunity to play against Ricky in college and the pros, and in all my years of playing, I didn’t play against anyone that I thought combined competitive nature, skills, and knowledge like Ricky did,” Coach Joey Wright said.

⁣Grace is certain to impart that competitive spirit and fire to campers in this two-hour clinic.

This is, well, an amazing opportunity for anyone that wants to get better on the court, so don’t miss out! ⁣
