Cole stands out again: WNBL PotW

JAYCO Dandenong Rangers star guard Rebecca Cole may be too late to pip Kelsey Griffin, Lindsay Allen or Nia Coffey from MVP contention but the rejuvenated backcourt mistress surely will join them in the WNBL All Star Five.

Cole this round joined only Allen as a two-time winner of the B.O.T.I. Player of the Week award and first prize of a packet of Tim Tams (courtesy of and collectible from Sara Blicavs).

Leading the Rangers to a 77-72 road win which eliminated reigning champion Townsville from playoff contention, Cole followed that 27-point game with 25 in the 85-60 rout of the Flames in Sydney.

She also had two assists, four steals and a block in that game to bring her weekend averages to 26 points at 67 percent, 3.5 assists and 3.0 steals.

Since departing Melbourne Boomers for the Rangers, she has thrived in what easily has been her most consistent season, even drawing the positive attention of Opals coach Sandy Brondello.

Without question, she is a worthy winner of this week's award.B.O.T.I. WNBL PLAYER OF THE WEEK
