A TRIO of the Opals' incoming WNBA contingent in Sami Whitcomb, Alanna Smith and Jade Melbourne overnight led the scoring for Australia as it reigned over Spain in a Paris pre-Olympics warm-up game in Segovia, winning 75-66, Tess Madgen and Steph Talbot not suiting.

Bec Allen and Isobel Borlase also did not finish up playing, their places taken by squad members Amy Atwell and Alice Kunek who, at 18 and 17 minutes, were given more than courtesy court-time.

Whitcomb led the Aussie offence with her 14 points at 50 per cent, accompanied by six assists.

Smith's 12-point, 11-rebound double-double came at 56 per cent, complemented by four assists and three steals.

Melbourne also had three steals with her 12 points at 71 per cent, plus four assists and three rebounds.

With nine points and 10 boards, Ezi Magbegor was efficient in 20 minutes, the Opals' defence containing Spain to 66 points at 35 per cent.
