FLASHBACK 103: It's 1948!

*FLASHBACKS, my irregular "lucky dip" where I just reach into my drawers of old Australian basketball stuff and transcribe or post whatever I find for you.*

ACTUALLY this week, just days ahead of bringing the best teams from around Australia together in action in both the NBL and WNBL competitions, we're going back deep into the past - to 1948 and the Australian Championship of that yearwhen the best teams were brought together, for only the third time.

And in truth, I didn't fish this program out of a drawer or cupboard but it was onpassed by Arthur Newley, via Reinis Dancis so my thank you to both men.

You'll find the names of many of the pioneers of basketball in Australia and also some interesting facts, such as the discussion on whether to amend the foul-out count from four fouls to five.

OK then, let's flash right back...
