NBL is rolling!


A REVITALISED NBL board, a new GM, and plans that have the actual air of reality have made this a good week for our national pro league.

Championship-winning mentor Rob Beveridge is back in the NBL to coach Illawarra Hawks who today announced Rhys Martin would return for the 2015-16 campaign.

Pretty good going for a club in voluntary administration not so long ago.

The NBL's Executive Director, Larry Kestelman also has swung into gear with the appointment of Jeremy Loeliger (below) as new General Manager.

Loeliger, who easily could be confused for Paul Rogers or Vlade Divac - "The height comparison would be embarrassing though," he said - comes from a legal background and is charged with making the NBL a global entity.

Chairman Graeme Wade and fellow holdover Adrian Garrone are joined on a revamped Board by Bob Elphinston, Laura Anderson and Colin Smith.
