Patting down a playoff spot: PotW

WE always knew the last round of the NBL's regular season was going to be key but who expected Cairns to top United or Melbourne-Perth to go to overtime?

The focus really was on Adelaide and whether it could take out Perth to cement a Final Four placing.

As soon as the 36ers failed, the pressure blew back onto Brisbane to take out New Zealand and make it back to the playoffs for the first time in 11 years.

The Breakers weren't doing former coach Andrej Lemanis any favours though until, ultimately, it came down to Lamar Patterson catching a pass on the wing and coolly swishing a 3-pointer to break the game open.

Adam Gibson, appropriately, sealed it from the stripe but it was Patterson who made it possible with one of the season's biggest shots.

Just quietly, he also had an equal-game-high 23 points, with seven rebounds and four assists to secure our final B.O.T.I. Player of the Week award for Season 2018-19.B.O.T.I. NBL PLAYER OF THE WEEK
