Sportsdeck Dream Team Week 15

By Crystal Ball

Welcome to Round 15 – the only round of the season when every team plays two games.

Melbourne United now joins New Zealand as the only teams who will play double-headers every round until the DT season ends.

It may pay to recruit players to your team accordingly.

Casper Ware and Josh Boone have presented great value over the past three rounds and while their prices have steadily increased, they still present as excellent additions to any team.

New Zealand’s Tai Wesley and Shawn Long disappointed with their DT returns in Round 14 – in light of their previous form – however, if you can absorb their sudden drop in value, both players are worth holding onto.

Cairns’ Romelo Trimble topped out the round with a return of 104 DT points and continues his recent purple patch of great returns.

Adelaide’s Demitrius Conger continues his excellent form since laying an egg in Round 12. Teammate Nathan Sobey has put together two excellent games in a row – which should sound alarm bells for Team Managers that ‘Sometimes’ Sobey is overdue for a ‘stinker.’

Still on Adelaide, little used forward Jack McVeigh presents a tidy jump in value after his recent performances.

The addition of Shaun Bruce to Adelaide seems to have created a fox in the henhouse scenario, with bench players McVeigh and Adam Doyle now playing to save their own court-time, resulting in improved DT returns for at bargain prices.

However, if you are still looking for bargains at this time of the DT season, you’re in trouble….

Now is the time to stick with your best players and bring in more if you can afford it.
